Hitler’s Followers Busy in Iran
» Pro-Nazi Website Unblocked
The ministry of culture and guidance of the Islamic republic of Iran issued a license for the website of the Association for the Study of Nazism in Iran (Anjomane Pajooheshi Nazism Iran) in effect giving the green light to pro-Nazi cyber activists in the country. Not only did pro-government websites in Iran, such as Tabnak, announce this news, the pro-Nazi website introduced itself in these words: “This website operates according to the laws of the Islamic republic of Iran and is under the supervision of the digital workgroup at the ministry of culture and guidance of the Islamic republic of Iran.”
This is a return for this website as it had been active in the past but had been officially shut and blocked by the government.
Mohammad-Ali Ramin, the deputy minister for media supervision at Iran’s ministry of national guidance which issued the operational license to the pro-Nazi and Adolf Hitler website, is himself a person with clear pro-Nazi leanings. In his not-so-shinning record of political activism, Ramin boasts to have had collaborated with neo-Nazi groups in Germany when he was a student there and afterwards.
Ramin is also the head of a one-man Iranian foundation, the “World Holocaust Foundation,” and he is the leading official advising Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on issues related to the negation of the Holocaust, which the latter has been advancing.
The Ideology of Death
Nazism is the political and ideological school of national socialism that the German Nazi party took on, implemented and promoted. It is a form of fascism with the added flavor of racism.
Following the defeat of Germany at the end of World War II and the death of Adolf Hitler, the leader of the German Nazi party, the activities of this party and its followers were banned in most countries of the world. Today, many Western countries, particularly politicians and the public in Europe view Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to be a follower of Nazism because of his denial of the Holocaust and confrontation with Jews and compare him to Hitler in their images and writings.
Hitler’s Spirit is With US
It is in this light that Iran’s ministry of culture and Islamic guidance issues an operational license to the website of the Association for the Study of Nazism. Today, there are some 300 members of the site which has received over 3,200 postings.
The site displays images and sections on the icons of the Third Reich such as the Third Reich Headquarters, the World War II Pavilion, a section on the ideology and principles of Nazism, and other sections on the personality, views and speeches of “fuehrer” Adolf Leader.
This website announces its goal to be to “expose the news and rumors of world Zionism about World War II.”
According to this website, “These rumors have been spread for decades by media affiliated to Zionists and Hollywood”. The operators of the site further describe their goal to be “The expose of a lie called the Holocaust, which has been used to advance Zionist interests.”
The websites attributes a statement to a “Supreme Board on Nazism in Iran” and writes, “The help of God and the spirit of Adolf Hitler shall always be with us. We are all Nazi soldiers and the officials of this board are no exception to this.”
Another part of the statement reads, “All officials must be under the supreme management and execute their duties with full force. All officials have the duty to report all their activities to the management every 20 days.”
How Was the Site Unblocked?
Tabnak website, close to former Passdaran Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) commander, critics the issuance of a permit to this website by Ahmadinejad’s administration and raises this question: Why does the ministry of guidance issues an operational license to the Nazi Association of Iran is a serious question that we hope will be addressed by authorities and as to why instead of promoting religious discussions and debates, a license is issued to such an association?”
Tabnak further warns that this group would not only not engage in any research or academic-historical work, but will in fact be active in advancing the values and culture of Nazism and is busy brain-washing individuals with Nazi extremist and racist views, and those of Hitler.
The ministry of culture and Islamic guidance on the other hand has responded to Tabnak and denied that it has issued a license to the website of the foundation for the study of Nazism in Iran. But Tabnak responded to the denial by pointing out to the specifics of the website and that the site had indeed been registered with the proper authorities at the ministry of culture.
It should be noted that the Iranian regime has issued an operating license to a pro- Nazi website in Iran while in recent years and particularly during Ahmadinejad’s administration, almost all critical websites and web blogs or those critical of the Islamic regime have been filtered out and blocked. This filtering has even included sites belonging to former senior leaders of Iran, such as former two-time president Mohammad Khatami or other senior clerics such as ayatollah Yusef Sanei and ayatollah Dastgheib.
