Shut the Majlis, oh Brothers!
The battle that coup perpetrators in Iran are wagging with the other faction on the right which has till now not fully surrendered to the rules of Ahmadinejad’s military-security administration supported by Mr. Khamenei himself, has reached new heights as the fight has turned to seize the country’s largest institution of higher education, Azad University. The battle is now fought house by house, chair by chair, and foot by foot. The Iranian Taliban is not in the least concerned that dark days await the homeland in the current domestic and international atmosphere.
In this situation, let us all say: Oh brothers! Plain clothesmen! Basiji students! All of you whose blood boils when the supreme leader issues an order and calms down when given a soft drink, pour into the Majlis which is still oblivious to the legislative charade that will soon come to end.
All of you, shut this so-called people’s house whose residents have passed the test of the Guardians Council to qualify to be the “appointed supervisors” and who have been chosen to play the game of democracy, but who have come to believe in this charade and the role assigned to them, and in the process have displeased the leader of the Islamic republic.
End this Majlis where one can still hear some words of law and see some actions in the national interest of the country. Shut this Majlis which did not issue a resolution against the Green Movement and which did not approve executing the leaders of the so called green conspiracy.
Shut this Majlis which still occasionally and quietly asks: Where did the billions of Dollars of the national treasury go to? What happened to the investigations over Tehran University dormitory’s massacre? Where are those who committed crimes at Kahrizak prison? Why does the president hand over the country to the Guards? What happened to the five-year development plan? What are these agreements you sign everyday with countries whose names this nation does not even know? Why do you write these meaningless letters to leaders around the world? Why do raise a fire in some corner of the world every day and endanger our Iran? Why do you have relations with international terrorists? And more!
Close this Majlis altogether so that every one knows that no questions and speeches should be asked in the era of Mr. Khamenei, the age of the Imam’s successor, or even the age of the Prophet, as you proclaim we are in. Shut the Majlis so we and everybody can see what simpletons they were in the assembly which has heeded to religious despotism and even accepted military dictatorship, and did not see this day coming!
Oh Hezbollah! Plain clothesmen! Student Basijis! Come to the field. Shut this last stage. Do not depend on us to do it. Shut it yourself. We are just dirt (as proclaimed by Ahmadinejad) and we respect the Majlis. You shut the Majlis. You who just yesterday chanted in unison: “We do not want a free Majlis!”
