The largest group arrests of Ahmadinejad’s administration took place two days go. Almost all the known women activists were arrested. Here is a list of the charges filed against them:

1- They are not men.

2- In addition to not being men, they are women.

3- In addition to not being men, they also talk.

4- In addition to not being men, and talking, they protest too.

5- In addition to not being men, and talking, and protesting, they are inimical towards each other.

6- These individuals have undertaken the largest demonstration, and almost all of them know what they want.

7- While they are not official authorities, they desire to change all the laws that have been violated by the former, current and future official authorities.

8- Instead of going to streets to shop or to hair salons, these women are in the streets for some other reason.

9- Even though nuclear energy is their inane liable right, these women are in the streets to demand some other rights.

The text of the interrogation of a detainee goes as follows:

Interrogator: Why are you gathering?

A Woman: To celebrate March 8, the international women’s day.

Interrogator: What does March 8th have to do with you?

Woman: Because it is the international women’s day and we want to celebrate it.

Interrogator: Why are you not celebrating February 11th (the day of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979)?

Woman: Because February 11th is not March 8th.

Interrogator: Why don’t you commemorate March 8th on February 11th?

Woman: Because March 8th is international women’s day, not February 11th.

Interrogator: Why do you want to celebrate March 8th?

Woman: Because we want to protest current laws and trample them.

Interrogator: Do you think you are an attorney or a government minister to trample on laws of the country?

Woman: No, but we are against laws that discriminate against women.

Interrogator: Where do you get money to object to these laws?”

Woman: We don’t get money from anywhere, and have our own money.

Interrogator: If you do not get money from anywhere, then why are you objecting to laws discriminating against women?

Woman: Because they are discriminatory.

Interrogator: Who do these laws discriminate against?

Woman: Against women.

Interrogator: So why are men not protesting against these laws?

Woman: They are, and you have arrested them too.

Interrogator: Why are men protesting against laws relating to women?

Women: How should I know? Ask them.

Interrogator: How come my wife does not protest against these laws?

Woman: Your wife does protest against these laws, and her name is Ladan.

Interrogator: Are you serious? Do you know Ladan? Please tell her to stop this.

Woman: She is a very good woman, but you are nasty to her.

Interrogator: So you are Shirin? My wife raves about you and your children. How is your husband Parviz?

Woman: He is OK. He too was there today and has been arrested.

Interrogator: They have arrested him? How off they are. I will personally look into this. Where are your children now?

Woman: I left them with Ladan because she said that she could not come, and instead looked after the children. My kids love Ladan.

Interrogator: You have nothing to worry about. Ladan and I will look after the children for the period that you are in prison. Don’t worry about a thing!
