خریداران آسیایی در ماه اوت، برای اولین بار در سال جاری، کمترین میزان خرید نفت خام از ایران را داشته‌اند و این مقدار به کمتر از یک میلیون بشکه در روز رسید. چین کمترین خرید خود از زمان شروع تحریم‌ها را داشت، با این‌حال هنوز نسبت به سال گذشته ۶.۴ درصد افزایش دارد.
تلاش‌های شش قدرت جهانی برای پایان دادن به اختلافات بیش از ده ساله با ایران، بر سر برنامه هسته‌ای این کشور، منجر به اعمال تحریم‌هایی در سال ۲۰۱۲ شد که صادرات نفت تهران را کمتر از نصف کرد.
پس از توافق اولیه مقداری از این تحریم‌ها کاهش یافت اما دیپلمات‌های ایرانی و غربی روز جمعه گفتند، با این‌که هشت هفته به مهلت ۲۴ نوامبر مانده، هنوز اختلافات عمده‌ای وجود دارد.
مقامات ایران و شش قدرت جهانی پیش از مذاکرات نیویورک هشدار دادند که بعید است پیشرفت در مذاکرات تحریم‌ها را پایان دهد، با این حال امیدوار هستند پیشرفت‌های جدی بتواند اختلافات را به حداقل برساند.
کن هاسگاوا از مدیران بازرگانی ژاپنی می‌گوید: “شنیده‌ام توافق نهایی سخت است. اگر ایران خود را درگیر چیزی نکند که موجب جریمه شود، فکر نمی‌کنم فشار بیشتری به ایران وارد کنند.”
توافق اولیه بین ایران و قدرت‌های جهانی که در ماه ژانویه اجرایی شد، به ایران اجازه داد صادرات خود را در سطح یک میلیون بشکه در روز نگه دارد.
واردات چهار مشتری اصلی ایران در آسیا در هفت ماه نخست سال به حداکثر خود و در ماه فوریه به ۱.۳۷ میلیون بشکه در روز رسید. بزرگترین خریداران نفت ایران، چین، هند، ژاپن و کره جنوبی در ماه اوت روی هم ۹۲۱۰۶۴ بشکه در روز نفت خام خریدند که بیش از ده درصد کمتر از هفت ماه نخست بوده و از ماه اکتبر کمترین میزان خرید محسوب می‌شود.
در هشت ماه نخست ۲۰۱۴، این چهار مشتری بطور میانگین ۱.۱۵ میلیون بشکه در روز خرید کرده‌اند که نسبت به همین زمان در سال گذشته ۲۳.۶ درصد افزایش داشته است.
خرید چین از تهران برای دوره ژانویه تا اوت ۵۷۸.۶۳۰ بشکه در روز بود که ۳۷ درصد افزایش داشته است. چین و هند روی هم باعث خرید بالای آسیا شدند و واردات کمتر کره جنوبی و ژاپن را جبران کردند.
واردات چین برای ماه اوت ۲۸.۶ درصد کاهش داشت و به ۳۱۱.۶۵۳ بشکه در روز رسید که کمترین میزان در ده ماه گذشته محسوب می‌شود. هاسگاوا می‌گوید: “در مورد چین، عامل این کاهش سیاسی نیست. پس از مدتی واردات دوباره به میزان قبل بازمی‌گردد.”
افزایش خرید هند و کره جنوبی در ماه اوت در مقایسه با سال گذشته به جبران کاهش خرید چین کمک کرد.
واردات هند در ماه اوت ۸۱.۲ درصد نسبت به سال گذشته افزایش داشت و به ۲۷۳.۵۰۰ بشکه در روز رسید و در دوره ژانویه تا اوت واردات هند ۴۹.۵ درصد رشد داشته و ۲۷۱.۰۰۰ بشکه در روز را نشان می‌دهد. واردات کره جنوبی از ایران در ماه گذشته نسبت به سال گذشته دوبرابر شده و به ۱۳۴.۴۱۹ بشکه در روز رسیده است، با این حال بارگیری برای دوره ژانویه تا اوت، نسبت به سال گذشته ۸ درصد کاهش داشته و میزان ۱۲۷.۹۴۴ بشکه در روز را نشان می‌دهد.
آمار وزارت بازرگانی نشان می‌دهد که واردات ژاپن ماه گذشته ۶.۲ درصد کاهش داشته و به ۲۰۱.۴۹۲ بشکه در روز رسیده است. در دوره هشت ماهه واردات ژاپن با ۹.۲ درصد کاهش به ۱۷۰.۵۱۸ بشکه در روز رسیده است.
